Job SummaryThe Associate Director Global Medical Affairs (AD-GMA) will be responsible for developing and executing the Medical Communication Plan of the assigned therapeutic area / products. He/she will support ideation, substantiation, and defense of WCH claims, as well as challenges against competitors’ claims. He/she will strengthen the relationship with Opinion Leaders to build up a network of NCH-products advocates. He/she will support external communication, and provide input to internal / external training. He/she will review and approve Medical-Marketing materials, conduct efficacy assessment of due diligences, and provide scientific competitive intelligence in the assigned therapeutic area. This associate will play an important role on supporting innovation.The Associate Director Global Medical Affairs will be responsible for developing and executing the Medical Communication Plan of the assigned therapeutic area / products. This associate will play an important role on supporting innovation In performing this job, the AD-GMA will be accountable for a series of deliverables such as developing abstracts/posters for congresses, developing/coordinating journal publications, providing medical support to press releases, or other external NCH-communications. This associate will assist to develop, or review and approve the scientific content of internet brand sites, will provide answers to medical inquires from health care professionals, will develop training materials, and product toolkits for launches, will work with Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory and Legal departments to develop strategies to maximize claims on WCH-brands. The AD-GMA will also organize meetings with experts to support specific strategic focus and new ideas for development, will review and approve promotional materials. Special attention will be put into scientific competitive intelligence and innovation. Basic QualificationsM.D. or PhD, with at least 5 years of experience, with a successful track record of escorting products through the commercialization process.Accomplished OTC and/or ethical pharmaceutical executive who has played a lead role in medical affairs (including drug safety) and medical marketing by way of background. Experience in clinical development would be a plus. Knowledge and understanding of consumer needs and attitudes, customer groups (including managed care) and opinion leaders, as well as smooth cooperation and teamwork with R&D, Marketing and other internal customers.Relocation is not available for this position.Wyeth offers competitive compensation and benefits programs, including child-care subsidies, flex-time, business casual attire, educational assistance and professional development programs.
