The Assistant Controller of Construction & Development will lead a company wide initiative to review and provide recommendations for the reengineering of all systems, processes and policies within the Construction, Development and Capital Expenditures. Areas of review will include, the job costing system, bid/award process, payment process, all on-site controls. In addition, the position will be responsible for 12 direct reports, monitoring construction budgets, month-end close, and documentation and review of internal controls for continued Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Qualified candidates must posses a CPA and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting as well as the following: · 7+ years’ experience in the public (Big Four)/private accounting field. · Knowledge of cost accounting practices. · Impeccable communication skills.
