Responsible for assisting in the development of profitable business relationships with clients in the market, organizing an effective sales team that delivers quality service, operating an efficient banking office while protecting the assets of the Bank and training and developing staff. REGULAR DUTIES: · Assist in the on-going business development of the market area through proactive sales calls, networking, and formulation of sales strategies to meet or exceed all small business and consumer loans, deposits and fee income goals. Adherence to all precepts of SuperStructures for Success. · Identify and refer larger Commercial, Trust, Investment, and Private Banking prospects to the specialized areas of the Bank. · Works along with the Banking Office Manager to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times to provide high quality customer service. · Assist the Banking Office Manager in controlling operation/administration expenses. · Monitors the efficiencies of production standards. · Responsible for monitoring and recommending training needs for the Banking Office personnel. Also responsible for motivating the staff to attain high quality customer service standards and profit goals. · Works along with the Banking Office Manager to ensure that regulatory compliance standards are met. · Ensure adherence to the Bank's policies and procedures by all staff. · Responsible for representing HNB in a professional manner at all civic and community affairs on an as needed basis. · Responsible for ensuring that all customer problems are resolved. · Assists the Banking Office Manager in the supervision of the daily operations/functions of the banking office personnel, assists with scheduling to maintain staffing levels, and participates in the interview process of new employees. · Other job related duties as assigned.Job Experience:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:· 2 years of management and/or retail banking experience · High School diploma or GED PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · College degree in Marketing, Finance, Management or related discipline; or equivalent work experience. · 4+ years work experience with banking office functions/operations, consumer, commercial, small business, and/or other applicable banking office services/products offered to customers. REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: · Knowledge of PC systems/applications. · Basic understanding of consumer and small business lending and investment products. · Working knowledge of the banking office operations/functions. · Knowledge of all banking office products. · The incumbent should also be knowledgeable in the loan application process to include accepting applications, gathering any necessary information and processing any applicable documentation in order to successfully package a loan application. REQUIRED SKILLS: · Excellent organizational/planning/project management skills. · Ability to effectively manage time. · Independent and self motivated. · Detail oriented. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Good analytical skills. · Excellent interpersonal skills. · Presentation skills. · Ability to make autonomous decisions. · Ability to motivate, lead and manage the banking office staff to perform at an optimal level of efficiency and effectiveness. · Negotiation skills. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:· Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. · Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions. · Ability to read and interpret a document. · Ability to travel if required to do the essential job functions. · Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an ''undue hardship'' then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.No agencies please.
