This position is assigned one of four Divisions of Responsibility (DOR), which rotate on a regular basis (Human Resources, Merchandise, Operations and Business). The Assistant Manager should have an understanding of each DOR prior to being considered for a Senior Assistant Manager position.Position Requirements: Human Resources: Ability to recruit others and provide positive or constructive feedback to associates Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring that client remains the top priority Organization: Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement within Ann Taylor’s guidelines Communication: Demonstration of strong verbal communication skills to Senior Assistant Manager, Store Manager, Area Manager, District Manager/Director and store associates Business Analysis: Ability to understand and use Ann Taylor’s tools to drive volume; understand trends in the business Educational Requirements and Experience: Minimum Requirements: Associates or Bachelors degree preferred Minimum one-to-two years of retail or comparable experience, or previous Ann Taylor experience asManager in TrainingWe offer a highly competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and a generous Associate Discount Program.
