Accounts Payable Specialist III

Position SummaryProcessing of accounts payable invoices check requests and expense reports. Must take on special projects to ensure growth within the department and help with any testing of new systems & processesMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesData entry Process AP Purchase Order (PO) & Non-PO invoices expense reports and check requestsAmerican Express processing & monthly payment reconciliationVerify signature approval coding and attach proper documentation Research and resolve problem invoicesRun and verify batch reportsReview and post batches in the absence of the coordinatorMaintain metrics on number of invoices processed daily Keep abreast of the 1099 and Sales and Use lawsEnsure Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance and all documentation as it applies to your job duties and the departmentSort mail and File as neededAssist with special projects Back-up to AP Processors or Coordinators as requiredProvide quality customer service to internal and external customers Additional duties as assignedSkills: • Good organization skills• Strong data entry skills• ERP SAP software (or equivalent) knowledge and skills a plus• 10-key calculator by touch• Detail oriented• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word• Good customer service skills• Good verbal and written communication skills• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEducations: Education: 2 year Associate Degree in Accounting is required.Experience: 5 years of related experience in an automated accounts payable environmentCLICK HERE TO APPLY MedImmune, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
