Account Manager Job Description

 

Primary Objectives:

 Manage an assigned territory focusing on 1) Carrier Activation quotas, 2) Carrier specific quality measures, 3) Equipment Sales quota, and 4) Continuously educating and servicing the Agent base.Develop and identify potential new AgentsProvide quality customer service and follow up Provide on-going product training opportunities to AgentsMaintain & evolve positive relationships with local Carrier personnel in the respective marketResponsible for Agent education and training of AW and Carrier systems.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 Visit all Agents the number of times per month determined by Manager; maximize sales of each AgentPoint of contact for Agent support for Commissions, Credit, Co-op, and various related issuesWork with each Agent to establish product needs Increase Agent base through cold calling, telemarketing, direct mail, lead generation tool:  Goal is to bring on new Agents.Provide on-going training of Carrier applications, programs and activation proceduresWork with Carrier & Manufacturer Reps to ensure Agents are knowledgeable and up to date on programs, promos, and Agent alerts on a real time basisReview Agent monthly performance on activations, deacts, churn, customer serviceRecommend ways Agent can build their business.Pull A/R agings report via Public Folders every Monday to determine opportunities to collect receivables and provide maximum credit line availability for all AgentsDetermine if Agents need to be placed on Performance Improvement Process and/ or possible contract termination if business plan can not be executedCo-op and marketing program management  Review monthly the current status of all Agents advertising co-op availability and pending claims, also recommend advertising solutions for the maximum exposure for the Agents businessRequired to provide all requested information to Area / District Sales Manager or as requested by Corporate office

 

Qualifications:

 2+ years of outside sales experience, minimum 1 year  industry experienceCarrier experience is a plusExcellent communication and organizational skillsExcellent closing skills requiredPC skills & working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet etc.

 

Other Requirements:

 Travel required – mostly driving within assigned territory, but periodic air travel for corporate trade shows, trainings, sales summits or incentive programs.
