Account Manager (Part Time) - Lubbock, TX

Job Description

Our company is seeking a part-time Account Manager who will work with customers on a university campus in the Lubbock area. If you are an entrepreneurial person who enjoys working with customers, we highly encourage you to apply. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team. This position will allow you to experience the various roles and responsibilities of sales, marketing and account management. Must be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.

Job Responsibilities

The Account Manager’s duties and responsibilities are as follows:Respond to account service needs and resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction. Employ a systematic selling and customer management process and contribute to customer and revenue retention.Maintain and nurture relationships with external customers using effective communication skills. Communicate with customer’s Purchasing Department to keep customer records and provide current information to the corporate office.Maintain a thorough and current knowledge of products, programs and industry in order to educate customers, as well as identify and seize sales opportunities.  This may require occasional attendance at product sessions.Attend and participate at vendor shows and onsite training seminars to represent the company. Complete appropriate reporting to provide account information and accountability.Participate in mandatory staff meetings via weekly conference calls.


Required Skills

Requires 3-5 years of work experience in sales and/or customer service.  Basic computer skills, including ability to use Outlook and basic competence in Microsoft Excel.  Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and the ability to identify opportunities and customer trends.
