AREA MANAGER/ SALES REPRESENTATIVE Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Concentration, speed, accuracy to handle paperwork expeditiously Accuracy in math calculations Familiarity with personal computers and networks High level of confidentiality Customer service orientation Excellent interpersonal skills Leadership skills Positive Businesslike behavior and appearance Ability and willingness to travel Proactive sense of urgency to take initiative Positive attitude towards customers and co-workers Education & Experience: Sales experience (5+ years preferred) College degree (helpful) Products Sell: Copiers, fax, and multi-functional machines Scanners and printers Service Contracts Purpose: The purpose of the Area Manager is to sell office systems to established customers and potential customers while continuing to give excellent customer service in a moral and ethical manner. Essential Responsibilities: Market within territory by initiating mailings and promotion of trade shows or product introductions. Make new business calls in an adequate number to potential buyers to secure appointments with the decision-making individuals. Arrange for customers to demonstrate equipment that best suits their needs. Record calls on potential buyers, their current equipment and call back dates after each business call. Periodically call on each customer to insure satisfaction and receive referrals Create weekly activity plan, which is reviewed with the Team Leader. Insure that all customer equipment is installed as agreed and train customer how to effectively use all the features of the equipment. As required, work with the collections department to assist with customer payments. Aid in resolving customer complaints. Turn in orders promptly, filled out completely and properly signed. Properly maintain equipment and inventory that you have in your possession. Be knowledgeable about competitor's products. Other Responsibilities: Attend educational programming that is designed to maintain and increase knowledge pertaining to the organization's goals. Work with all departmental managers relative to personnel and customer needs analysis. Support Co-workers.
