Web Producer

Chicago based Humanities and Arts organization, focused on events and a year round activities,  is looking for a Web Producer.We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team environment; is detail-oriented with good people skills; and brings a positive and helpful attitude to the workplace. The Web Producer will be responsible for managing projects through entire web production process: concept, design, production, testing and launch. The key objective for this position is to manage the ongoing production and maintenance of the websites, including documentation, consistency and quality. 

 Principal Responsibilities:Manage web-based projects across multiple teams from inception to completion. Create and manage overall timeline for projects and maintenance. Create and maintain a prioritized list of web projects. Understand and monitor all details of project implementation. Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day website maintenance. Lead production and technical development efforts on website projects. Traffic flow of assets and information between various departments (Marketing, Editorial, etc.) and Web Production team. Communicate with vendors for web projects and maintenance. Ensure that projects are launched on time. Manage multiple projects simultaneously throughout a fast development process. Interact closely and communicate clearly with multiple teams regarding project status and changing priorities. Create, maintain and distribute web analytics. Ensure use of industry standards and best practices for all web based projects.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years experience in web production, analysis, or development; or 2 years experience in project management with an understanding of interactive website design and production. Demonstrated ability to develop detailed documentation and track details. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain quality and effectiveness despite changing priorities. An understanding and interest in existing and emerging web technologies, design, usability, and portal best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong analytical skills. Ability to self-manage and multitask across projects and products. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to break down complex problems into simple, digestible components and identify and communicate solutions. Highly organized; time management and attention to detail a must. Proven commitment and follow-through on projects. Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization including senior management.

· Familiarity with Content Management Systems.
