Position Overview
In this professional support position your primary responsibilities will center on the recruitment, selection and on-boarding of new and transferring employees in the Heart of American Blood Services Region. You will also act as a resource to staff members and job-seekers on issues related to Talent Acquisition policies and career opportunities.
Areas of Responsibility
· Develop/maintain multiple channels and networks to build a diverse and reliable applicant sourcing pool.
· Design and implement innovative recruiting plans for assigned positions.
· Evaluate candidates based on employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities and other data pertinent to the selection and referral of candidates.
· Conduct behavioral based interviews via the telephone or face-to-face.
· Maintain and track job and candidate data for compliance with EEO and other related employment laws and regulations.
· Coordinate/negotiate employment offers.
· Conduct on-boarding sessions with new hires as assigned.
· Maintain current knowledge on applicable laws, regulations, and trends in recruitment, and organizational policies, benefits, and compensation.
· Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
· Ensure all aspects of the recruiting and hiring process are carried out in accordance with Red Cross Talent Acquisition policies, procedures and guidelines.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
· At least 3 years of recruiting experience and expertise in corporate recruitment including client management is strongly preferred.
· Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with a demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong customer service, interpersonal, negotiation, and oral/written communication skills are required. Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written skills required.
· Must be a team player, collaborator, and able to effectively network at all levels within and outside the Red Cross.
· Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity with demonstrated experience and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
