St. Patrick Center has several position openings for a MO certified Substance Abuse counselor or Master’s level counselor with one year of training or supervised experience in substance abuse treatment.Â
Â
Candidates must be a proponent of the harm reduction approach to substance abuse intervention. This position requires one to be able to work in a team environment, providing comprehensive services to program participants.Â
Â
Past experience working with veterans experiencing homelessness preferred; as well as experience with a substance abuse treatment program(s). Additional experience with wrap-around services and/or comprehensive family services are also a plus. Candidates should also be knowledgeable in cultural issues; in addition to being well-versed in ethical issues regarding drug and/of alcohol counseling. Reliable transportation and flexible work schedule are required.Â
