Social Workers/Case Planners
Cardinal McCloskey Services, a well respected not for profit social service agency, is recruiting for social worker/case planner positions for our expanding Foster Care/Preventive Services departments.
The social worker/case planner/case manager in our Foster Care/Preventive Services departments located in the Bronx and Manhattan will provide whatever services are indicated to promote the best possible adjustment for the child and to facilitate meeting his needs emotionally, physically, and spiritually. This includes, but is not limited to:
Arranging for psychological and psychiatric assessments when indicated
Carry out recommendations of the above within prescribed time frames
Monitoring educational progress and making appropriate referrals for indicated educational programs
Ensuring, in conjunction with the community service nurse, appropriate medical examnations and treatment
Maintaining the relationship between the child and the bio parent by sharing significant information and facilitating frequent visiting
Refer biological parent to appropriate services
Attend case conferences
Represent the interests of the child in court
Complete required paperwork
Attend in-service meetings, supervision, and monthly staff and unit meetings
