Summarize the primary function of the position:
Plan, organize and manage Acellular Dermal tissue family. Develop, implement and monitor strategies from conceptual stages throughout tissues’ lifecycle to optimize revenues and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.
Describe the major elements of the position:
1. Work with Group Product Director to develop, implement and monitor overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and processing coordination of acellular dermal tissue forms.
2. Collaborate closely with marketing partners as well as other functional areas within MTF such as engineering, processing, planning, quality, regulatory, finance and customer service to develop and provide dermal tissue definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
3. Create marketing plans for the specific product families including market and competitive analysis, revenue forecasts, objective determination/assignment and advertising requirements.
4. Manage daily progress of product family including back orders, sales to plan, technical field support and maintenance.
5. Work closely with marketing partners regarding branding, communications and advertising and promotional activities within the product family. Directs agencies related to execution strategies as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, clinical education programs, sales collateral materials, journal advertising development and implementation, trade show and society meeting participation.
6. Provide technical expertise and training to marketing partners and other MTF personnel including sales, marketing and customer service in support of product development, product positioning and competitive assessment.
7. Conduct competitive market analysis to develop product definition and assess gap analysis.
8. Prepare product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market of new items as well as line extensions.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with key surgeons and clinical advocates relative to product family and sits on the respective Innovations Committee/Scientific Advisory Board.
10. Assist in the management of the cost and P&L associated with the Dermal tissue family.
11. Assist with special projects and performs additional duties as assigned by the Group Product Director, Vice President of Sales & Operations, and President, CV/Skin Division.
Job Qualifications (education, experience, knowledge, skills, physical requirements)
1. B.S. or B.A. Degree required.
2. Minimum three years’ medical marketing experience; tissue or medical device experience preferred.
3. Minimum two years of product management experience.
4. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
5. Strong ability to build relationships and drive product development schedules.
6. National travel required – up to 50%, sometimes over weekends.
7. High level proficiency in MS office computer applications.
8. Background in plastic surgery.
