Senior Internal Auditor
The Asia Foundation seeks a Senior Internal Auditor based in its San Francisco office. The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for the design, implementation and management of the Foundation’s internal audit program. This includes, but is not limited to, the planning and performing of independent and objective audits of internal systems as well as the evaluation of internal controls in the Foundation’s field offices in Asia to ensure compliance with established Foundation policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to the Foundation.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; have at least two years of auditing experience and three years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit and non-governmental setting; and possess a CPA, or CIA designation. They will have knowledge of Federal cost regulations, OMB circulars and USAID rules and regulations as well as solid knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. It is important that the Senior Internal Auditor has good interpersonal skills, the ability to clearly express ideas and issues both verbally and in writing, a pro-active work style, and is culturally sensitive as they will spend 30 to 40% of their time in the field working with colleagues in Asia and supervising an additional auditor based in the Philippines.
