Senior Financial Analyst

 

Our client, Westminster Canterbury, has an employment opening for a Senior Financial Analyst to generate internal and external financial reports, tax filings, regulatory reports, analyze variances and assist in budget preparation.

Specific duties of the Senior Financial Analyst include the following:Generate internal and external reports for Controller, CFO, Board of Trustees and outside regulatory agencies.  Analyze and explain variances from plan and prior year.Maintain and analyze accurate project accounting.  Gather and compile data for quarterly and annual bank reporting for the bond issue.  Compile and request regular reimbursements from the bond trustee for project expenditures.Assist in development of operating and capital budgets.  Responsible for download and upload of related budget information into the general ledger system.Prepare annual tax filings, regulatory reports and surveys for the Management Corporation and subsidiaries.Perform biennial review of resident personal financial data and input into actuarial program to determine facility future service obligation to residents.Manage special projects as assigned.

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.Minimum of two years financial analysis experience.CPA preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.
