We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Development Director for Heart Walk Fundraising in our Las Vegas division.The primary responsibility of the Senior Business Development Director is to manage the Start! Las Vegas Heart Walk as well as new initiatives throughout the area as assigned. Key responsibilities include managing a year-round fundraising campaign; building long term, sustainable relationships with Start! Heart Walk sponsors and teams; recruiting, partnering with, and managing volunteer leadership; implementing, managing and evaluating events that bring together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers to raise funds and awareness for heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #3 killer in America.This position is responsible for raising $400,000 through Start! Heart Walk participant income and a minimum of $200,000 through sponsorship making the total revenue responsibility for this position $600,000 for the 08-09 fiscal year. In addition, this position supervises one business development director, one administrative coordinator, a committee of high level volunteers, and works closely with and reports to the Executive Director of the Las Vegas division. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing and implementing a 3 year plan for the Start! Heart Walk that maximizes revenue based on the market's potential. Qualified applicants will have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years of successful fund raising or outside sales experience Developed management skills and ability to lead a team to success Demonstrated ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management Proven track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals Highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment.
