SUBSTANCE ABUSE/DUAL DIAGNOSIS COORDINATOR
WHITTER STREET HEALTH CENTER
The mission is to provide high quality, reliable and accessible primary health care and support services for diverse populations to promote wellness and eliminate health and social dispartities.
Join this innovative treatment team at Whittier Street Health Center in the expansion of substance abuse/dual diagnosis services. This position supervises the Substance Abuse Treatment Team. This position is responsible for individual therapy and Suboxone group leadership at the clinic site. The person in this position collaborates with HIV Services and Post Prison Release Program in the treatment of substance abusers. Also, the person in this position participates in the Roxbury/Jamaica Plain No Drugs Coalition.
Help Whittier's primary care physicians in their diagnosis and referral of substance abusers within the medical clinics and educate certer staff on substance abuse/dual diagnosis issues. The emphasis of this program is on continued expansion of substance abuse services and integration of these services with the health clinics as part of a federally funded contract.
This position reports directly to the Director of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Requirements are:
5 or more years of experience with substance abuse/dual diagnosis treatment.
Master's Degree and MA State Licesure (LICSW, LMHC)
Being able to speak fluent Spanish is a plus.
