SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Mount Hope’s mission is to revitalize the communities served byproviding safe, decent, affordable housing, economic development, youth, humanand educational services.  For 22 years, the Mount Hope HousingCompany has been the major catalytic force and innovator in the realm ofcommunity development by transforming the Bronx into a revitalized andstabilized community, creating affordable housing and stimulating commercialrevitalization and enhancing job creation. MountHope’s programs are expanding as weinstitutionalize with the creation of the new Mount Hope Community Center.

 

Position Summary:

The Vice-President of Operations oversees the daily operationalmanagement of the Housing Company and reports directly to the CEO.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Ø  Oversee hiring and supervision ofall staff, ensures compliance with job descriptions and annual work plans andfacilitates staff evaluations and amends staff duties as approved by thePresident/CEO.

 

Ø  Oversees the compliance ofPurchasing, Personnel and all company policies and procedures as directed by thePresident/CEO.

 

Ø  Work with the President/CEO, ChiefFinancial Officer, and Executive Management in the preparation of theorganization’s annual budget and plan.

 

Ø  Establish benchmarks and othersuccess measures to evaluate staff and organizational performance and conductsenior staff evaluations in conjunction with the President/CEO.

 

Ø  Facilitate the organizationsStrategic Plan and staff development plan.

 

Ø  Approve communication materialsdeveloped for program and initiatives of the Housing Company (i.e. brochures,outreach materials, web site etc) in conjunction with the President.

 

Ø  Oversee payment requisition processand subsequent approval for final disbursement of funds as assigned by thePresident/CEO.

 

Ø  Responsible for the office operationin the absence of the President/CEO.

 

Ø  Advises President/CEO about businessactivities, opportunities and potential threats.

 

Ø  Manages the monthly departmentreporting process.

 

SpecificJob Activities:

 

ØSelect management team for eachdepartment

 

ØConduct regular meetings withdepartmental heads to ensure performance goals are met.

 

ØFollow up on decisions made inmanagement meetings and ensures proper execution.

 

ØMonthly review of financial reportsto ensure adherence to annual budgets. Skills& QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Ø Minimum B.A. preferred MBA/ MPA

 

Ø Minimum 5+ years experience in Senior Management

 

Ø Excellent Financial Analyst

 

Ø Excellent Organization Skills

 

Ø Writing and Communications skills

 

Ø Strategic Planning

 

Ø Multi-lingual language proficiency a plus

 

Salary:
