This organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage and assist in budgeting, financial reporting analysis and planning. Or client offers exceptional benefits including 7 hour work day and a pension benefit plan which is contributed 100% by the company!Job Purpose:Reports financial status by preparing and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and reports.Duties:* Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.* Tracks financial status by monitoring variances from plan.* Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.* Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.* Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.* Increases productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements.* Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.* Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:The requirements for this position include a 4-year degree with a related major (accounting, finance, business, etc). CPA preferred. At least 3 years relevant experience (financial management, cost accounting).
