Residential Counselor FT/ PT/ On-call

This Mission of Maryvale program is to help each child achieve fulfillment, dignity and self-esteem in an environment of stability, love and respect.

 

Maryvale was founded in 1856 as The Los Angeles Orphan Asylum. The original site was in Los Angeles at Macy and Alameda where Union Station now stands. Maryvale is situated on 14 park-like acres and provides a 24 hour residential treatment program with a professional staff of psychologists, therapist, recreational staff and residential counselors for 85 girls between the ages of 6-18. These children are referred by various placement agencies and come with psychiatric and behavioral disturbances related by histories of abuse, neglect and inadequate parenting. Maryvale is a level 12 (RCL-12) residential treatment facility for abused and traumatized girls. The Maryvale program consists of mental health/clinical services. In addition, Maryvale operates two Day Care Centers: Rosemead & Duarte and other community outreach programs.

Job Position:
Working with girls 6-18yrs. of age at Maryvale Residential Center. We have FT/PT and On-Call, will be asked to work occasional weekends, evening and holidays. BA preferred Exp. may substitude. Full time position is evening hours 2-10pm, PT no more than 25 hrs a week, and On-Call.
