Established in 1948 as a not-for profit, community blood bank, BloodSource is an organization of partnership and support with the communities we serve.  Created entirely by community members in response to a need of the people of Northern California for a safe and adequate blood supply, BloodSource has flourished for 60 years. 

 

We are currently seeking friendly Registered Nurses with a focus on customer service and quality to join the BloodSource team.

 

RequirementsCurrent California RN license.Current Healthcare Provider level CPRValid California driver’s license and good driving record.Must be able to work a variety of days and hours including weekends.

 ResponsibilitiesWork with volunteer blood donors and take them through the full donation process including: donor eligibility assessment, mini-physical, phlebotomy.Provide appropriate nursing assessment and care for adverse reactions.Care for unit of blood Perform quality control and quality assurance activities as needed.Perform charge nurse duties as needed.Assist with training new staff.
