Psychiatric Social Worker II
Responsibilities:
· Provide individual, group, and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, in-sight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging in age from 5 years through late adulthood
· Conduct pre-admission screenings
· Supervise the intake process. Ensure the Intake Log is updated
· Supervise social work interns
· Implement case management treatment plans
· Maintain reports, administrative and clinical records in accordance with OMH/DOH&MH standards, insure and comply with requirements and program policies
· Facilitate intra/inter agency referrals as necessary
· Advocate for patients with other community based organizations and governmental agencies as indicated
· Conduct home visits as necessary
· Obtain and monitor managed care authorizations
· Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings
· Learn and utilize computerized treatment and billing programs and implementation
· Demonstrate ability to engage new and resistive mental health clients
· Capacity to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
· Other duties deemed necessary by the Clinical Director pertaining to provision of effective services to patients and/or the community
Qualifications:
· Minimum of an advanced degree in social work (MSW) preferred
· LCSW is required
· Three years+ of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Experience with time limited treatment approaches preferred
· Experience with treating children preferred
· Bilingual English/Chinese required
Hours: Full time, 35 hrs. /week, some flex scheduling required
Salary: Upper 40’s with a generous benefit package.
