Project Assistant

The Center for Social Innovation (formerly Institute on Homelessness and Trauma) is an organization of clinicians, social scientists, policy analysts, consumers and educators dedicated to using knowledge to improve the lives of vulnerable populations.  Through research and evaluation, training and technical assistance, product development and web-based communications, our mission is to bring theory onto the streets by applying knowledge of best practices to real world settings.  The Center is currently recruiting for a Project Assistant who will have responsibility for providing administrative support to staff including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and scheduling travel.  Person will communicate with partners, receive visitors, answer phones, organize electronic files and reconcile travel expenses and receipts for payments.

The position requires demonstrated experience as an administrative assistant with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.  Strong writing skills with experience with Microsoft Office especially Excel required with database experience desired. Ability to learn new technologies quickly required. Individuals who have formerly experienced homelessness and/or who are in recovery from mental and/or substance use disorders are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary range is $37,000 - $40,000 with excellent benefits.
