We, at Arrow Child & Family Ministries, are committed to promoting and enhancing the positive growth of children and families through preventive, supportive, and therapeutic services.  As a result we are seeking the following position:

Program Director

 

Summary:  Responsible for foster/adopt regulatory compliance, ability to build and grow office, home study coordination, team leadership and overall aid to children/families requiring foster/adoptive care by providing case management services.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

· Facilitates recruitment, maintenance and placement of foster/adoptive homes

· Strong ability to grow office while providing case management services to children and families

· Participates in development of assessment, service delivery, discharge, and aftercare planning.

· Assists and monitors families in the compliance of licensing/regulatory standards.

· Participates in case planning conferences, Professional Consulting Team, ARD (school) meetings, court   hearings, staffing, etc.; Attend staff meetings, seminars, and professional conferences

· Maintains regular contact with family and child and monitors psychological, mental, emotional, physical, and   environmental well-being through a minimum of two phone contacts and two home visits monthly.

· Provides resource information and referrals to community organizations for therapeutic treatment such as   behavior modification, stress management, and therapy to assist client in controlling disorders/problems

· Provides crisis intervention as needed to prevent escalation of high-risk behavior, relapse, hospitalization,   placement disruption, and other negative outcomes on a 24-hour on call basis.

· Submits completed action sheet for placements, discharges, etc. within 24 working hours of action

· Completes Incident Reports within 24 hours or the next business day of the event.

· Gives consultation for foster, adoptive & biological parents, respite providers, and other caregivers as needed

· Maintain accurate and complete case notes, billing documentation, treatment plans, progress notes,

      and other documentation according to licensing, accreditation, and agency standards.

· Facilitate foster parent support groups, in-service training, and pre-service training

· Completes diagnostic assessments within 30 days of first placing a child.

· Conducts quarterly evaluations, creates corrective action plans and monitors foster homes.

· Develop a Family Training Plan for assigned families.

· Completes Intake study on all children prior to placement or within 30 days for emergency placements and   submits for supervisory approval.

· Responsible for foster family training programs to meet annual training requirements

· Guides and oversees the acquisition and processing of foster/adoptive families through the licensing process.

· Serves as sole Child Placing Management staff at primary location.

 

 

Qualifications:  The Program Director shall hold a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a human services field and have at least three years of case management experience. Masters in Human Services or related field and licensure (LMSW or LPC) preferred.
