National Board of Medical ExaminersMeasurement Analyst The NBME, a premier not-for-profit corporation, develops licensure and educational achievement examinations for the health professions and has a major commitment to research and development in evaluation and measurement. Located in Philadelphia adjacent to the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, the NBME has a stimulating professional environment and state-of-the art facilities. We are currently seeking a Measurement Analyst to join our team. The Measurement Analyst is responsible for delivering clear, accurate, high quality summary reports of examination and examinee performance. Primary duties performed in this position: Plans and coordinates timelines and performs the analytical and data management tasks required for error free score calculation and reporting. Recognizes and resolves inconsistencies in all aspects of data analysis and score reporting through strict quality control procedures to maintain integrity of scores. Develops, revises, and updates data and analytical procedures using the most appropriate technology (SPSS, Access, etc.) Develops, revises, and updates documentation describing all aspects of score calculation and reporting.The qualified candidate must be able to perform routine work with a high level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail. This is not a research oriented role. Required skills: Sufficient knowledge of SPSS programming and data management techniques to access and use complex data sources Sufficient knowledge of statistical procedures to work independently on most aspects of score calculation and reporting High level of quantitative and logical reasoning ability Attentive to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills Ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in a professional work environment. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and 3 – 5 years relevant experience will also be considered.
