Manager, Procurement and Contract Services Responsibilities:Reporting to the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer (VP/CFO/COO), the Manager, Procurement and Contract Services plans, directs and manages the central procurement activities.  Supervising a staff of ten employees, the Manager, Procurement and Contract Services establish priorities, assigns workloads and reviews complex assignments while personally handling a portion of the procurement workload. Other responsibilities will include: Oversees efforts to increase the proportion of contracts that are competitively bid Oversees efforts to increase the proportion of contracts that go to diversity vendors and contractors Continuously looks for ways to reduce costs, improve customer service, decrease turnaround times, and streamline processes Oversees revisions, price and past performance of each contract and approves price increases Prepares written financial and administrative reports for the VP/CFO/COO and other senior management Identifies new or improved administrative, purchasing and clerical procedures for approval by the VP/CFO/COO Reviews all correspondence with vendors related to inquiries and bids Interprets contract provisions and reviews for accuracy and changes prior to bid and renewal Serves as a Liaison to vendors, contractors and Getty management Professional Qualifications:The successful candidate will possess management level experience in a large complex organization with strong people management, verbal and written communication skills.  The candidate must have proficiency in purchasing methodologies, financial analysis, supplier selection, contract evaluation/negotiations, and conflict management.  A Bachelor’s degree and 5 – 10 years of relevant management responsibility is required.   Personal Skills:The individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaboratively work with all programs and departments within the Getty Trust, including the Getty Foundation, the Getty Conservation Institute, Getty Research Institute and Museum.  We seek an individual who is strategic, collaborative, and communicative with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.  The Manager, Procurement and Contract Services must possess a style that fosters collaboration and a shared commitment and passion for the overall purpose of The J.
