Per Scholas (www.perscholas.org) is an environmentally responsible nonprofit organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing education, technology and economic opportunities to individuals, families and communities.  

 

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Per Scholas seeks a dynamic, experienced Job Developer. The Job Developer will become a member of the Per Scholas’ Education and Training Team.  Our Training Team is committed to delivering high-end computer repair technician A+ certification training to underemployed and unemployed NYC residents for purposes of higher economic development and improvement of quality of life.

 

Primary responsibilities of this fast phased, people-centered position include

1) cultivate relationships with employers that will become committed to hire multiple Per Scholas graduates

2) identify a variety of entry to mid level IT industry employment opportunities

3) provide Per Scholas graduates with direct, individualized employment placement services, resulting in at least 15 employment placements monthly

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or other related field

At least 4 years of demonstrated job development experience with verifiable outcomes

Must be able to develop employment opportunities in IT industry

Strong knowledge of Operating Systems and Microsoft Office and

Excellent marketing, people, verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a diverse environment

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and deliver outcomes according to deadlines schedule

Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends
