Savers, Inc. is now searching for a talented Inventory Planning & Traffic Administrator to join our team. This role will assist in the balancing of merchandise supply to our retail stores throughout the US, Canada and Australia. Additionally, this position will carry out supply-side logistics activities including review of store and supply zone inventory levels, third-party carrier selection, dispatch and delivery scheduling in coordination with various inter-company linkages supporting Savers product supply and inventory plans. DIVERSE ROLE FUNCTIONS-Schedule and monitor shipments from origin to destination ensuring timely pickups, transit times and deliveries.-Communicate shipment schedules effectively with vendors and stores.-Select the best transportation vendors who have approved rates and/or tariff pricing established by the department manager who supports the distribution of merchandise.-Evaluate merchandise inventory levels within company operated stores and distribution centers to support volume purchase agreements and timely re-distribution of product to inventory deficient locations.-Monitor carrier and vendor performance and assist with carrier rate analysis.-Provide customer service and support to our stores and field management teams.-Ensure timely and accurate completion of freight vendor invoice payables utilizing the A/P system.-Cross train within the department. REQUIRED CREDENTIALS-High school diploma or equivalent.-Minimum of two (2) years experience in logistics/transportation/traffic management.-Knowledge of all transportation modes, including full truckload, LTL, intermodal, ocean freight and airfreight.-Knowledge of US and Canadian logistics/transportation geography.-Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.-Demonstrated logical analysis and problem solving skills.-Ability to work independently or as part of a team.-Strong customer service skills.-Ability to interpret intermodal and over-the-road transportation tariffs.-Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.-Ability to interact within all levels of the organization and with our vendors.-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.-Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.-Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
