POSITION SUMMARY:The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing support in functional areas of the Human Resources Office, which may include recruitment and employment, personnel records, benefits administration, and training. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Talent Acquisition

Coordinate company-wide recruiting efforts, including ad placement, assistance with screening of resumes, phone interviews, weekly recruitment reporting and communicating with all hiring managers.

2. Benefits Administration

Perform firm-wide benefits administration, including coordinating open enrollment meetings designed to help employee obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs, processing new hire benefits and employee changes, and administering COBRA;

3. HR Reports

Generate ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee data such as FTE counts, benefit costs, staffing levels and deployments, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, compensation, promotions, and others utilizing ADP HRIS system;

4. Training

Work with Human Resources Director in coordinating the preparation and scheduling of company training programs; Responsible for copying and working on the training materials

 

5. Onboarding

Coordinate post-recruitment efforts, including producing offer letters, generating new hire orientation schedules, serving as first point of contact for post-recruitment and temporary-service questions and needs, and tracking and maintaining performance evaluation schedules and records;

Oversee new hire orientation program;

6. Administrative

Ensure proper paperwork execution, including drafting procedural paperwork for new actions, updating and maintaining employee files, and coordinating with payroll with paperwork/benefit implementation and compliance; Maintain APHL’s organizational chart and staff listings; Responsible for posting HR Communications to SharePoint. Data Entry into HRIS including payroll, benefit and other personnel updates.

7. Policies/Procedures and Process Flow

Assist the Human Resources Director in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all employees.

 

8. Events and Activities

Support other projects as assigned, including recognition program, wellness and social initiatives, monthly events and holiday-related functions.

9. Communication

Under the direction of the HR Director, facilitate HR communication and recruitment marketing efforts by coordinating the development and production of employee communications, including: HR Fun Facts, Benefits Communications, HR Updates and other internal and external marketing initiatives;

1.The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent

2.2-4 years HR experience including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Employee Relations and Performance Management

3.Ability to be self-directed and highly organized. 

4.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

5.Excellent interpersonal skills.

6.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and be familiar with a Windows operating system.  This includes excel and word.

7.Proficiency with HRIS, preferably ADP

8.Team Player with a positive attitude!.
