Grants Coordinator
DUTIES:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
·        This position is responsible for the coordination of the accounts payable function within the Justice Center which include but is not limited to the following tasks:
s Manage the processing of invoices, employee travel expense reports, American Express corporate card coding, compiling receipts and journal entries
s Meet with Director, Justice Center on a weekly basis to review expenses
s Train necessary support staff on accounts payable process
s Liaison for expenses for headquarters and various offices of the Justice Center
s Work with staff to improving systems for efficient processing of accounts payable
·        Prepare monthly financial reports and ledgers for project leads for each cost center
·        Ensure Justice Center timesheets are submitted in timely manner as well as the following tasks in regards to timesheet collection:
s Review that cost centers are appropriately charged according to what current budgets will allow
s Prepare allocation for administrative staff time.
s Ensure Project Directors have reviewed and approved junior staff timesheets
s Update spreadsheets for tasks, active accounts and web calculation
·        Report to staff on a monthly basis of grants ending, reports due to funders and contracts expiring
·        Responsibilities in support of Budget Director are as follows:
s Assist the Budget Director with data collection, input and analysis for the development of budgets, budget redistributions, budget reconciliation, and other calculations necessary to track the status of the budgets.
s Draft letter of agreements and maintain database of current contracts Â
s Implementing new systems for managing reports and communicating financial information to Justice Center staff
s Other duties as assigned by the Budget Director.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
s BA/BS degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in finance in a non-profit setting including direct experience in managing accounts payable.  This job is an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in a position with increasing responsibilities that will eventually lead to a significant role in project and/or non-profit management.
s Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
s Excellent communication skills, written and oral
