Financial manager/bookkeeper

Duties:

 

Full charge bookkeeper for well established nonprofit involved in environmental issues with a $2M annual budget and 30+ employees. 

 

Responsible for the maintenance and production of all financial reports and records. Post to the general ledger, balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconcile bank statements, reconcile entries.

 

Handles accounts receivable and payable, payroll, prepares budgets, year end closing and works with auditors.



 

Manage HR records, procedures, and benefits.

Supervise receptionist/bookkeeper assistant. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements bystudying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filingreports; advising management on needed actions.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 Qualifications:

Degree in accounting, business administration or related field.Skilled at developing standards, analyzing information, dealing with complexity, reporting research results, data entry skills, fund accounting, must know or learn SFAS rules, attention to detail, confidentiality, thoroughness. Experience with nonprofits preferred.
