Finance and MIS Coordinator
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Â
The Finance and MIS Coordinator will provide financial management and analytical support to Oxfam America’s Community Finance (CF) program.Â
Â
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Â
Financial Reporting:
Â
·      Participate in strategy sessions with the CF team and/or other meetings as assigned.
·      Provide monthly updates on the expenditures of the CF unit.
·      Ensure that all fund activities are in compliance with Oxfam America and grantor requirements.
·      Prepare and maintain relevant financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Grants Management System:
Â
·      Work with the Program Associates to ensure timely and accurate data entry for Saving for Change grants into the grants database.
Â
Program MIS Reporting:
Â
·      Ensure that the regional offices send in the MIS data for Oxfam America Saving for Change initiatives.Â
·      Use designated software applications to generate reports on the global progress of the Saving for Change program.
·      Develop any other tools as necessary to track and report on the progress of the program.

Â
·      Carry out other tasks as directed by the Community Finance Manager.

EXPECTATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Â
·         Represent the CF unit at departmental meetings as requested by the Manager, and where appropriate, participate on cross-departmental teams representing the program.
·         Stay abreast of professional standards, trends and issues affecting this set of responsibilities, demonstrating continuous learning of the field.
·         The Finance and MIS Coordinator will work effectively and collaboratively in support of building a team-based culture of work, will perform all duties appropriately for a multi-cultural environment, treating all persons with dignity and respect, and will be familiar with and committed to Oxfam America mission and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Â
Education:
Â
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems or related field required. Master’s preferred.
Â
Experience and Core Competencies:
Â
·         A minimum of five years of relevant work experience
·         Excellent analytical abilities.
·         High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
·         Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
·         Demonstrated capacity to perform independent and innovative work.
·         Demonstrated skills in working as a member of a team.

·         Experience with databases and financial accounting software.
·         Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance and/or economics
