The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) invite applications through October 1, 2008, for the position of Director of Certification for the NSCA located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The NSCA is a non-profit 501(c)3 professional membership organization with over 34,000 members worldwide. The NSCA’s mission is: as the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning, we support and disseminate research-based knowledge and its practical application, to improve athletic performance and fitness.Â

The Director of Certification serves as administrator of the NSCA certification program and reports directly to the NSCA Executive Director.

Responsibilities:Â
Â
Create, Develop, and Approve CSCS and NSCA-CPT Certification Exams
Oversee all CSCS and NSCA-CPT Exam Preparation Material
Maintain NCCA Accreditation and ANSI Accreditation
Management and Strategic Planning
Promote NSCA Certifications
Supervise Employees
Â
Qualifications:  Master’s degree or higher in Exercise Science or related field. Experience and knowledge of strength and conditioning profession required and certification programs preferred. NSCA CSCS certification required and NSCA-CPT certification preferred. Must be dedicated individual with experience in strength and conditioning education, certification, continuing education, and similar activities. A minimum of five years experience in top management, professional non-profit experience preferred.

Compensation: Salary and support are commensurate based on education and experience.
