Development Coordinator - Communications

This position is responsible for coordinating development-related public relations initiatives to increase exposure for Children’s Medical Center and the donor groups involved in philanthropically supporting Children’s. This includes planning, writing, distributing, cultivation and recognition, and donor news. This position will serve as a liaison with external media representatives and represent Children’s in the community at relevant functions. Position will also support Children’s fundraising initiative to increase internal and external awareness of the institution’s mission and to help create a culture of philanthropy within Children’s staff, board, trustees and volunteer organizations.  This position, along with other members of the Development team, is responsible for raising at least $30 million annually in philanthropic support for Children’s.

Our successful candidate will have two to three years of proven public relations experience, preferably with a non-profit organization. Must have excellent customer relations and networking skills, and be able to relate to donors at all levels. Must have superb written and verbal communications skills. A Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or relatied field of study is required.
