Desktop Support Engineer

Since 1967, Phoenix House has been putting men, women and teens on the road to recovery. The largest non-profit alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention facility in the nation, each day we treat more than 5,000 persons in nearly 100 residential and outpatient programs throughout nine states.

The Phoenix House IT Department is looking to hire a Desktop Support Engineer to work out of the headquarters office located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan.  Joining a department of about 15 people, you will be supporting around 500 end-users. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide 1st level support for all PC and peripheral related break/fix

Provide 1st level support for all Phone related break/fix Installation of hardware and software for PC PC

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of all PC operating systems particularly Windows XP

Knowledge of MS i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access

In-depth knowledge of MS Outlook

LAN and WAN Knowledge

Peripherals (external drives, scanners, fax machines)

Printers - Hewlett Packard, Dell and Xerox Phasers

Canon multifunction copier support

Must be able to work independently

Must be an effective communicator
