Pierce, FL. As a Teacher, you will go beyond the limitations of textbooks and rigid lesson plans. Position Concept:Teacher to provide non-traditional educational experience for each youth through implementation of established curricula, with emphasis on hands-on and work related experiences. Serve on Treatment Teams to ensure integration of educational goals in treatment plan. Carry out diagnostic testing, as needed.Experience and Education:Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Education preferred. Teaching certification appropriate to State of Florida requirements. Two years successful teaching experience preferred. ESE endorsed teacher preferred. Must have desire to work with at risk youth. Must show proficiency in analytical, verbal, and writing skills. Also must possess skills in creativity and critical judgment. Must maintain appropriate and valid state driver’s license. Must meet state criminal background check requirements.
