Description of Duties:
The Community Support Specialist will provide direct individual and group Community Support services for members in the community and at the at the Peer Success Center on a daily basis. The CSS will complete mental health assessments and assist members in preparing their care plans. This person will also provide documentation of services with attention to the clear demonstration of medical necessity.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
The CSS must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) under Illinois Medicaid Rule 132 definitions. This person should have good written and verbal communication skills and have strong basic computer skills. Experience in the mental health field is strongly preferred.

Requirements, Responsibilities and/or Duties Unique to the Position:
The Peer Success Center is a program run by people in recovery from mental illness. A requirement of this position is the ability to tell a personal mental health recovery story to inspire others to take steps in their own recovery.  Vehicle, driver’s license and 100/300 auto liability insurance required. 

Minimum Education Required: Master’s Degree in related field required.
