Certified Medical Assistant

Bancroft NeuroHealth is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fostering the highest quality of life for people of all ages with neurological disorders, including developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries.

Bancroft is looking for a part-time Certified Medical Assistant to provide support to our Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner in our Human Resources/Occupational Health Deparment.

The hired CMA will be responsible for: Answering phones and scheduling appointments - Assisting patients with forms and giving instructions - Filing and maintaining medical records - Preparing documentation - Processing and completing claim forms - Data entry - Assisting with case management and patient history - Assisting with physical exams and drug screenings - Preparing and administering medications with Nurse Practitioners authorization - all other jobs as assigned.

*Must feel comfortable working in fast-paced office setting.

**Must be able to work Monday and Wednesday. Third work day is flexible (preferably Friday).

Requirements Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required with a License or Certification as a Medical Assistant required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite neccessary. Also, operative knowledge of a human resources management system for data maintenance, report generation, etc. preferred.

Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills required, as well as flexibility, adaptability, the ability to act independently, respond quickly, and work within tight timeframes. Valid driver’s license required in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions. Minimum of 18 years of age required. Must be able to provide a minimum of (2) Professional References.
