Bilingual Customer Service Representative
ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION:
Cricket Debt Counseling (www.cricketdebt.com) is a federally approved non-profit Budget & Credit Counseling Agency (BCCA). We provide the counseling that is now required by law before an individual may file for bankruptcy. While the majority of our counseling is completed online, there is a phone component where clients call to verify their identity, review their budgets, and have their completion certificates issued.
GENERALIZED JOB DESCRIPTION
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) certified debt counselor (Employment is contingent upon obtaining valid NACCC certification. Certification costs paid by Cricket Debt.)
· Provides debt counseling to consumers that are considering filing personal bankruptcy.
· Issues Certificates of Completion to debtors upon successful completion of counseling.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensures clients have completed required pre-bankruptcy education course.
· Responds to incoming telephone calls from clients.
· Provides pre-bankruptcy financial counseling.
· Maintains current NACCC Financial Health Counselor certification.
· Performs other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Required to work assigned business hours.
· Work from any location in the United States.
· Work from home.
· Capable of working at a computer for several hours at a time to complete work.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Fluent in English and Spanish.
· Prior debt counseling, financial and/or customer service experience preferred.
· Must possess exceptional communications skills.
· Demonstrated computer proficiency including web, email, instant messaging, and document and spreadsheet software.
