Basic Purpose

Assist AANF Director of Development with administrative activities, such as coordinating meetings, reports, data gathering, projects and mailings, marketing, and data base management.

Primary DutiesAssist the Director on the administration of the AANF Development Committee: organize and support Committee conference calls, Attend Committee meetings and conference calls, assist with minutes of meetings, and follow up on motions and actions as requested. Assist with project management of Development program: coordination of written materials, timeline, mailing services, data base management for mailing lists and reports. Schedule and organize activities such as meetings, travel and development events and activities. Create routine correspondence and other matters for Stewardship Program; personalized thank you letters, invitations to stewardship events, donor records maintenance.Act as a project manager for special projects, including planning and coordinating mailings, events, presentations, etc., and disseminating information. Maintain AANF Development electronic files and folder organization as necessary. Project lead on coordinating meetings for creation of AANF Development database. Input AANF Development information data entry, updates and report generation. Coordinate AANF gift planning website area. Administer AANF Development Marketing efforts: direct mail letters, gift planning newsletters, brochures and postcards, blast emails, notifications, booth handouts, shipments to exhibits. Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including situations with confidential and non-routine information.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience

2-4 years of related experience in fund raising

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel

Must be proficient in Power Point

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Strong computer and database management skills

Strong organizational skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to handle confidential information

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work on projects under only general supervision

Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibility

Physical Demands

Occasional bending and lifting up to 40 pounds

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Occasionally using stairs
