Station Operator- Abbeville, LA
POSITION: 3- Station Operator Positions DEPARTMENT: Operations LOCATION: Abbeville, LA ResponsibilitiesPosition includes the performance of maintenance, upkeep and cleaning to station, pipeline, tanks, valves, engines, motors, mixers, piping, and control panels. Also responsible for operational activities as they relate to storage buildings, pipelines, and ship terminals. Maintains monthly fire extinguisher, scraper, filter and tank inspection logs documenting work. Weekly runs/starts emergency generators and checks station air compressor[s]. Checks H2S monitors and performs scheduled maintenance on valves, motors, pumps and mixers. Performs yard maintenance on grounds for the facility Monitors and maintains station activity reporting and related documentation to include a variety of reports and records covering - readings, over/short documentation and oil movement orders. Conducts crude oil sampling. Checks sulfur content. Performs start-up and shut-downs of pipeline. Checks root drains, oil levels in mixers, compressors, pumps, booster, motors, (valves and piping). Writes VMAC tickets. Proves meters. Performs daily tank inspections. Performs general housekeeping and assures activities are consistent with safety and security guidelines. High school diploma or equivalent with some math skills and the ability to speak, read and write English and have or be able to quickly acquire basic computer/PC skills. As job proficiency is attained must be able to calculate fluid flow, determine and perform batch scheduling and coordinate related activities and use basic sampling equipment. Must have a valid drivers license
