POSITION POSTING

Job Title: Payroll Accountant

Reports To: Controller     

General Purpose:  Establish and manage all the US payroll functions for the company.

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure timely and accurate payroll payments for all US employees, including frequent production bonus payments

·         Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and best practices related to payroll

·         Provide excellent customer service to managers, state agencies, third parties, and employees, in order to resolve all miscellaneous payroll inquiries

·         Annual wage reporting to all employees (W2 and reconcile quarterlies to W3 and annual statements)

·         Budget and other miscellaneous reports as needed

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

·         Solid understanding of accounting principles

·         Meticulous attention to detail

·         Very strong computer skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills and team player mentality

·         Strong organizational and time management skills

Education/Experience

·         Minimum of five years experience in all aspects of US payroll

·         Experience in high-end accounting software package given preference.  Experience in Timberline and/or JD Edwards would be a significant asset

·         Accounting degree preferred
