Operations Supervisor- Casper, WY
Position: Operations Supervisor Department: Pipeline Operations Location: Casper Wyoming This position requires pipeline knowledge, experience, and capability to deal with pipeline issues. This person must be a self-motivator and willing to take on a range of pipeline responsibilities. The job is to maintain a crude oil pipeline keeping it in good, safe operating condition and in compliance with government regulations. Must be able to accommodate travel and overtime as required.Responsibilities Individual must be able to manage a work group effectively using good communications skills. Will be responsible to insure that all regulated maintenance is performed safely and on schedule. That all volumetric measurements are performed per the Plains measurement manual and reported correctly. That operating area works within a defined budget and manages costs within that budget. Insures that work group abides by Plains company policies and performs work safely and within schedule. Generates operating and project budgets for operating area.Education and Training High School diploma or equivalent. Must have intermediate computer skills and ability to generate and e-mail correct Plains forms as required. Must have a good understanding of all aspects of operating a pipeline system (administrative, electrical, mechanical, measurement).Other Qualifications Have a valid drivers license. Ability to complete Haz-Mat training, safety programs, and meet minimum D.O.T. qualifications. Good written and verbal communications skills with ability to follow Plains Pipeline procedures.
