Basic Job Functions
• Process development in the extraction of secondary metals from ore to metal and implementing those processes at multiple mines across the country; work will span effort to develop and demonstrate mineral processing and extraction processes towards recovery of specific metals.
• The position will be responsible for implementing new metallurgical recovery processes.
• Evaluation of unit operations for metallurgical feasibility
• Equipment specification
• Flow-sheet development and New Process Implementation
Qualification Requirements:
• Degree in metallurgical engineering
• Specific and demonstrated experience working in a (copper, nickel, zinc) mining metal extraction process development environment
• Domestic and international travel as required – up to 25% on occasion
Location: Midwest (will disclose location to interested candidates)
