Logistics Coordinator
Company Description:
Sims Metal Management, a global leader in metal recycling, is seeking to hire an entry level Logistics Coordinator.
Position Description:
In this position you will learn the fundamentals of running a successful logistics operations with great opportunity for advancement. Specializing in barge, rail, truck, and intermodal freight; duties include maintaining all licensing, registrations, and permits for trucking department. Ensuring all data is up to date and in compliance. Quarterly reporting, maintaining all records as needed. Responsibilities will also include maintenance of safety program for drivers, mechanics, and welders. Conduct training for new drivers in regards to trip sheet/phone data recording.
Experience/Requirements:
Successful candidates will have a minimum of an associate’s degree in Logistics or related field with 1-2 yrs. experience, preferably in the trucking industry.
