Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist - Brisbane, Australia
The successful applicant will provide geotechnical support to customers at operating mine sites and make an invaluable contribution to the business in general. As well as providing professional service to our clients throughout the mining world, you will be working closely with the GroundProbe Product Development team on technology advancements and improvements.Â
Ideally this position would suit a Geotechnical person or Engineering Geologist with a post-graduate degree and suitable experience (with consulting or with an open pit operation). However, we will gladly consider a less experienced person with a view to development and career growth. Opportunities for post-graduate education (Masters or PhD level) as part of the position role will be available if desired. Therefore, high performing motivated people looking to advance their career are strongly encouraged to apply.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of the role will include: Providing technical advice on the use of GroundProbe’s products and services. Ensuring optimal use of Slope Stability Radar systems through the provision of education and guidance to GroundProbe staff and existing clients. Encouraging and promoting the use of GroundProbe’s products and services Collecting and collating all relevant geotechnical information and related reporting from each business activity. Undertake regular site visits to Australian and overseas clients. Drive geotechnical improvement projects to successful completion. Helping maintain information databases and a web based portal for delivery of information and knowledge to clients.
Some of the Core Accountabilities will be: Providing geotechnical advice for GroundProbe’s Business Units Assisting the Principal Geotechnical Engineer with the development of long-term geotechnical strategies, and the successful implementation of these strategies. Assisting the Principal Geotechnical Engineer with the operational management of the Geotechnical Services Group.
