Data Analyst (Procure to Pay)

POSITION SPECIFICATION





Summary:

United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for a Data Analyst (Procure to Pay) in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) department, located at the company headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

 

The Data Analyst will work as part of the Data Team focused on providing usable data for the ongoing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation of Oracle eBS. As part of the data preparation process, data validation rules (business rules) will be gathered and programmed to analyze and improve the usability of the source data in an automated fashion. The Data Analyst will be responsible to facilitate and execute this process under the guidance of the Data Team leadership.





Major Responsibilities: · Conduct business rule gathering workshops with the participation of key business    contacts and ERP team members ·  Attend Trillium software training ·  Document, program, and implement rules within Trillium Software ·  Maintain data scorecards ·  Conduct workshops with business users and ERP team members to provide   feedback on overall data ·  Assist in the formatting, transforming, consolidating of source data slated for   conversion according to the specifications created by other ERP team members ·  Assist in the generation, formatting, and distribution of data validation checklists   and reports

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION





Minimum Requirements:

·  Bachelors Degree required

·  Purchasing, Inventory and A/P and related business experience

·  Ability to write and interpret simple SQL queries

·  Familiarity with basic relational database concepts, basic data management and manipulation techniques

·  Ability to clearly communicate both technical and business concepts

·  Desire to learn new software

·  Ability to prioritize tasks, conduct meetings and conference call based workshops to identify issue resolution steps and processes





Preferred Requirements



·  Familiarity with Oracle eBusiness Suite applications and concepts is a plus
