Communications Technician
Consistent with our commitment to provide our clients with “Everything but the Rig”, Stallion offers remote communications with VSAT, voice data, fax, rig intercom, portable UHF radios, and Iridium Satellite phones for a complete remote communications solution. Our rapid growth has created opportunities for experienced satellite and intercom technicians within our StaRComm® division.
Essential Duties: Sets up, installs, maintains and repairs electronic communications equipment; including computers, phone systems, wireless products, and satellite systemsExemplifies a customer service oriented attitude. Communicates job progress to customers, job managers and Technical ServicesMust be willing to travel
Qualifications:Knowledge of computer networking systems and componentsPossess good written and verbal communication and decision-making abilitiesMust be results oriented and able to work with minimal supervisionMust have a valid drivers license
Education and/or Experience: Training from a two year vocational school or equivalent military trainingKnowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Processing software helpfulPreference given to candidates with oilfield experience
