Verification/Validation Engineer
Verification/Validation EngineerDescription: Work as part of an instrumentation design team developing QPCR instrumentation. Will be responsible for working closely with design engineers to develop and execute verification and validation tests for new instruments, and for coordinating the activities of 3rd parties involved in the safety and regulatory testing of the instruments. The right candidate will facilitate the transition of product design and enhancement to full production/delivery.Disciplines:-Actively participate in cross functional development teams to obtain knowledge of parts, assembly details, software, and testing requirements of the instrument. -Analyze requirements, generate test plans, and procure equipment needed for verification/validation testing. -Perform unit and system testing and document test results. -Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrix. -Coordinate safety and regulatory testing of the instrument. Requirements: BSME or equivalent -5+ years of experience in a instrument system design and verification -SolidWorks -ASME Y14.5M-1994 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing -Experience interfacing with multi-disciplined design group -Experience designing / documenting in an regulated environment (ISO9001 / ISO13485 / ISO16946 / etc) -Optics, mechanisms & electronics packaging -FMEA Failure Mode and Effects Analysis -Knowledge of Six Sigma Statistical methods & Design of Experiments (DOE) -Knowledge of CSA/UL/CE/RoHS Location: San Diego, CA Type: CONTRACT Duration: 120 - 180 Days Pay Rate: DOE Contact: Volt Technical ResourcesVolt Workforce Solutions7490 Opportunity Rd.
