Currently, we are searching for a VP, Supply Chain to lead our corporate Supply Chain function out of our Wilmington, MA corporate offices. About the Opportunity: The Vice President, Supply Chain, will be the thought and process leader of the Supply Chain function across the corporate organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP Supply Chain will be the key architect for creating, implementing, transforming and leading the Global Supply Chain process. The VP Supply Chain will be a key organization-wide leader interacting, influencing and collaborating with all functions of the corporation (engineering, quality, finance, sales, quality, hr, etc).
Key Result Accountabilities Responsible for working with each facility and coordinating the division’s planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory and vendor management. Develop and manage a monthly Sales and Operations Planning process for Accellent. Responsibilities include developing business processes to consolidate reporting of forecasts, demand, and capacity in order to improve organization readiness and generate proactive planning for capital investments in capacity. Responsible for integrating production schedules with business planning and forecasting. Drive the balance of ERP / MRP capability with pull / lean methodologies. Must be a driver of lean culture change. Define and manage critical performance drivers (CPD’s) for capacity, inventory management, cycle counting, vendor performance and supplier performance. Assist in the development and management of VMI programs with both suppliers and customers. Explore new technologies, processes and suppliers to reduce non-value added procurement activities. Responsible for managing division wide consolidation of suppliers and vendors to drive improvement to CPDs including cost reductions, lead time reductions, inventory reductions and at the same time, improving quality and fill rates. Working with Quality, define, establish and measure monthly performance of vendors and suppliers. Leverage Oracle functionality across the organization to enhance Supply Chain best practices and increase efficiency.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the experience leading team of direct and in-direct reports across a matrix-based organization. The VP Supply Chain will be regarded as the corporate expert on best practices, and to support greater corporate initiatives relative to their expertise. In addition to a highly-functioning thought and process leader, the VP Supply Chain must possess: Bachelor degree in related discipline; Master’s degree preferred. 10 - 15 years of broad materials management experience, with 5 years experience managing a department. Experience negotiating contracts and supplier agreements. Experience in the successful implementation of ERP systems.Excellent analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience managing staff, contractors, and outsourcers to high standards. Working knowledge of the Sales and Operations planning process Successful, positive interacting with all levels of the organization. Ability to travel 20 - 40%, including internationally. Residence near or ability to relocate to the Greater Boston area (north Rt 28 corridor
